How Moodèra Began
Moodèra began in an apartment in Istanbul, with ten test jars on a kitchen counter and a debate over “how much vanilla is too much.” The rest of the story was written by the city itself: roses from Anatolia, resins from the spice markets, marble and steam, and that particular quietness of an apartment at dusk.
Ten scents is a deliberate number. Broad enough to move through an entire home — the morning bathroom, an afternoon at your desk, the table at night — yet focused enough for us to stand behind every single one.
How We Make Our Candles
Each candle is carefully formulated with a blend of 54% soy wax and 36% paraffin, designed for a clean, balanced burn. With a 10% fragrance load, the scent is made to genuinely fill a room — not simply leave a faint trace behind.
Our candles are made in Istanbul. Every scent has its own UFI code, and nothing is ever hidden under a vague “fragrance” label. For us, full transparency isn't a preference. It's a principle.
